How this site makes money

Required by advertising rules in most countries, and worth reading anyway — knowing how a site is paid tells you which parts to read sceptically.

The short version

buypith earns from promotional links to Binance that carry our referral code, BN0112. If you open a Binance account using that code — pasted in yourself from the home page, or through the one link on our account guide — Binance may pay us a share of the trading fees you generate afterwards.

You are not charged for that. The code applies a promotional discount to your own trading fees, so the effect on you is a reduction of up to 20% on trading fees, not an addition. Binance sets the actual rate and can change or end it; whatever their page shows at the moment you register is what applies to you.

Said plainly

Using our code does not make your trades more expensive, and it can make them slightly cheaper. It does mean we have a financial reason to want you to open an account, which is the part you should keep in mind while reading anything here.

Exactly where the earning links are

Three places, one link each. Opening your first exchange account carries one, placed at the step where you would actually be creating the account. What a referral code actually does carries one, at the end of the page that works out what the discount is really worth. And the home page carries one, next to the code itself.

That is the whole commercial footprint:

The home page shows the code as text you can copy, plus one marked link to Binance's sign-up page.
The other seventeen guides, all five tools, and every page in this footer carry no referral link.
There is no sticky bar, no pop-up, no “sign up now” block repeated across pages, and no button anywhere styled to look like an exchange's own.
Where a guide links to Binance's fee schedule, help centre, or terms — the reference pages, not the sign-up flow — those links carry no referral code and earn us nothing. They are citations.

Every link that can earn us money is tagged in the page source as a paid link, in the way search engines expect, and opens in a new tab so this guide stays where you left it. Beside each one there is a plain-language note saying what it is. Search engines read the tag; you read the note.

What the money does not buy

Coverage. Nobody pays us to be written about, ranked, or recommended. Binance has no involvement in what appears here, sees nothing before publication, and has no relationship with us beyond the standard referral programme anyone can join.
Silence. Costs, limits, wait times, and failure modes are described as we find them. Where a route is expensive, the guide says so — the credit-card guide spends most of its length explaining why it is usually the worst way to buy.
Softer risk language. The guide about what beginners get wrong exists precisely because a site earning from sign-ups needs one.

If you would rather we earned nothing

Then do not use the code. Go to Binance directly, leave the referral field empty, and use this site purely as a reference. Nothing here is gated, nothing is tracked, and none of the guides check where you came from. You would be giving up the fee discount, and we would earn nothing from your account — both of which are entirely your call.

Other commercial arrangements

None. No display advertising, no sponsored posts, no paid links, no newsletter sponsorships, no affiliate relationships with any other exchange, wallet, hardware maker, or service. If that ever changes, it gets written on this page before it appears anywhere else on the site.
